A new plan for river development
The modern river development system has been born along the river legislation in 1896. After the establishment of institutional water utilization and flood control in 1964 there were few changes over the years.
However, to answer the needs of high quality life and growing concerns with the environment a new river development plan aiming for [Conservation and development of river environment] of 1997’s River Act amendment was introduced in consensus with local opinion.
